I really like how easy this system was to set up. The configuration app will automatically connect to the router to get things configured. The extenders work just by simply plugging them into an outlet. They'll either both connect directly back to the router component or one will relay through the other. Zero configuration, just plug and play.
For most folks it'll be up and running in 10 minutes, less so if there is no firmware update required.
All in this is a very easy to use system from a company that has been making advanced (an affordable) wireless gear for the enterprise market for some time now. They've done a nice job with their first foray into the consumer market.

Ubiquiti UniFi Access Points are some of the best wi-fi access points around. I have been having problems in my house with the wi-fi signal so I decided to give these a try based on a friends recommendation.
The two access points in the video are:
Ubiquiti Networks UniFi AC LR AP Enterprise Wi-Fi System (UAP-AC-LR)
and
Ubiquiti UniFi UAP AC PRO 2.4GHz/5GHz, 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, 2xGbE, support PoE+Ubiquiti Networks EdgeRouter X Setup and Performance review. I also opened up to take a peek inside, it's a very impressive $49 router with 4 logical networks, failover, VLAN, QOS and more!
UPDATE: The Edge Router X does not support hardware offload which would increase the transfer speed.

Sean writes, "I have a TP-LINK N900 wireless adapter which supports speeds up to 450Mbps so I’m not sure why I’m only getting 40Mbps speeds. I had my MS Surface Book sitting next to my desktop and I was able to get about 134Mbps download speed tests so I think it has to do with my wireless card" and wants to know if an ASUS AC1900 PCI-E (PCE-AC68) adapter might boost his speed.
